Dr Robert George is a Specialist Surgeon with a deep commitment to providing comprehensive Surgical care in Northern Sydney, with a philosophy built on an approachable and personalised framework.

After being granted Fellowship by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), Dr George completed an additional 3 years of surgical subspecialty training in Emergency Surgery, Breast Surgery, and Melanoma-Sarcoma-Endocrine surgery. He maintains affiliations and certifications with General Surgery Australia, GESA-Endoscopy, Breast Surgery Australia and New Zealand (BreastSurgANZ), and the Melanoma Institute of Australia. He also has a keen appreciation for cosmetic medicine and health promotion.

Dr George has a strong academic foundation, graduating as a University medallist and then pursuing a Scientific PhD. He remains committed to research and the training of Junior Doctors.

Areas of expertise include:
- Skin and Melanoma: Expert consultation, investigation, and treatment of skin cancers, including both Melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers
- Soft Tissue Tumours: Specialist investigation and management of a wide range of soft tissue tumours found in the head, neck, and body, from benign growths to complex sarcomas
- Breast Surgery: Specialised consultation, investigation, and treatment. Range includes benign breast conditions, breast cancer, screening and surveillance, breast reduction, breast lift (mastopexy), implant surveillance and exchange
- Abdomen & Emergency Surgery: Extensive experience in managing acute abdominal pain, hernia surgery, gall bladder surgery
- Endoscopy: Accredited by the Gastroenterological Society of Australasia (GESA) for endoscopy, allowing for internal examination and diagnostic procedures

Research

Dr George has an active research interest and has publications in international, peer reviewed journals. He has completing a Masters degree and is undertaking a PhD in Genetics.
