Profile
Dr Edmunds completed undergraduate study at Sydney University, and further training through the Australian Orthopaedic Association training Programme. He completed a Fellowship in Hand Surgery at Sydney Hospital and St. Lukes Hospital, and a Fellowship in Hand Surgery at Harvard University, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA, USA. Dr Edmunds has special interests in hand and wrist trauma, basal thumb arthritis and Dupuytren's disease (surgery & collagenase injection treatment).
Research
Dr Edmunds' current research projects are: Cortisone injection for trigger finger and de Quervain's; Intra medallory nailing of meta carpal fractures; long term follow-up of patients with Dupuytren's treated by the "New Surgical Approach"; long term follow-up of patients with wrist arthritis treated with the STPI prosthesis; and Hand surgery on patients taking Zarelto or Pradaxa.
