Profile

I am a clinical cardiologist with strong interests in general adult cardiology, cardiovascular disease prevention and cardiac ultrasound. I studied medicine at the University of Sydney prior to physicians training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital network. I completed my specialist cardiology training at Westmead Hospital, where I also dedicated a year to setting up a new outpatient cardiology service aimed at seeing patients with chest pain, heart failure and disturbances of heart rhythm in a timely fashion. These clinics focused on providing streamlined access to specialist cardiac services and cardiovascular disease prevention. I also have a strong interest in teaching and am a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney. Additionally, I am an associate editor for European Heart Journal Case Reports and regularly review journal articles. In addition to Sydney Adventist Hospital, I have appointments at Northern Beaches Hospital and Westmead Hospital.

Research

I have a strong interest in clinical research and am currently completing my PhD which focuses on novel clinical approaches for cardiovascular disease prevention including utilising mobile health technology and evaluating Rapid Access Cardiology models of care. As part of my PhD, I have authored several papers on cardiac service development, clinical trials, digital health and cardiovascular disease prevention, including invited editorials. Additionally, I have had the exciting opportunity to present my research at both national and international conferences.
