Profile
Dr Daniel Akrawi is a compassionate and evidenced-based Cardiologist with expertise in Advanced Cardiac Imaging and Preventative Cardiology. He is highly skilled in Transthoracic and Transoesophageal Echocardiography and holds Level A CT Coronary Angiography accreditation. Dr Akrawi also has a strong interest in Heart Failure, Ischaemic Heart Disease, Cardio-Oncology, Valvular Heart Disease and Arrhythmias reflecting his comprehensive approach to cardiovascular care.
Dr Akrawi earned his medical degree from Western Sydney University, graduating with First Class Honours and the University Medal. He completed his specialist training at Liverpool and Campbelltown Hospitals and currently works at the Sydney Adventist Hospital. Dr Akrawi is pursuing a PhD focused on novel methods of evaluating pressure differences across coronary artery lesions, with his research being showcased at both national and international conferences. He is a Conjoint Associate Lecturer at the University of New South Wales, where he is dedicated to teaching and mentoring medical students and trainee Doctors.
