Roses are red, violets are blue, your heart keeps you going—so let’s keep it healthy too!
Love might make your heart race, but if it’s skipping beats, working overtime, or just needs a check-up, San Radiology and Nuclear Medicine has you covered.
San Radiology & Nuclear Medicine (SRNM) has been at the forefront of providing comprehensive diagnostic, nuclear and interventional imaging services for more than 40 years. As a well-recognised leader in imaging services on Sydney's North Shore, the SRNM service performs more than 91,000 examinations a year and is staffed by a team of highly experienced specialists, radiographers, sonographers, technologists, nurses and administration personnel who are committed to delivering excellent, personalised care for our patients.
Scanning and imaging services include Computed Tomography (CT), Positron Emission Tomography (PET & PET/CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), general x-ray, ultrasound, nuclear medicine and theranostics (combined therapy and diagnostics).
While each type of imaging can be used on multiple body areas, some services have been developed which assist procedures in specific locations such as lymphoscintigraphy (breast imaging) and Coronary Artery Calcium Scoring (CACS) and CT Coronary Angiography (CTCA) (cardiac CT). There are also specific applications utilising x-rays to provide assessments of bone density and the use of EOS (full body) imaging to evaluate musculoskeletal conditions.
Although scanning and imaging may be generally perceived as providing static images, they also play a role in guiding real-time treatment such as uterine fibroid embolisation (using x-rays) or ultrasound-guided drainages and biopsies.
These essential high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging tools enable our specialists to provide comprehensive care for all patients from diagnosis through to treatment and recovery, all from our convenient location on Sydney’s North Shore. The SRNM utilises leading-edge equipment, works collaboratively with technology leaders and participates in clinical trials and research to ensure the most up-to-date treatment services are offered.
