Profile

Dr Roxanas graduated from University of NSW in 1968, and after residency at Parramatta Hospital, Prince Henry Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital, he started Psychiatric training. He worked at Gladesville and St. George Hospitals, and after obtaining FRANZCP in 1974, did a further year in Consultation-Liaison and Psychogeriatrics at Sunnybrook Hospital, University of Toronto, Toronto Canada. He is currently a Consultant Psychiatrist at Concord Hospital, St John of God Hospital (Burwood), and Mt Wilga Hospital. Dr. Roxanas is married to Alma and they have two adult children. He is a general adult psychiatrist with special interests in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Psychogeriatrics, Phobias and Obsessive-Compulsive disorders.

Research

Dr Roxanas has published on Frontal Lobe Syndrome and drug interactions, antidepressant induced SIADH and research in corticosteroid induced psychiatric illness. Dr Roxanas also has research interests in Lithium Nephropathy. His other interests are in Medical and Psychiatric history.
