Profile
Dr Kanawati is a general cardiologist and electrophysiologist. She received her medical degree from the Australian National University and completed her cardiology specialist training at Concord Hospital. She then undertook subspecialty training in cardiac electrophysiology at University of Western Ontario in London, Canada with a 2-year postgraduate fellowship. She has a special interest in heart rhythm disorders and cardiac devices.
Dr Kanawati performs catheter ablation procedures as well as pacemaker and defibrillator implantation.
Research
Dr Kanawati's research interests include cardiac resynchronisation therapy and management of supraventricular tachycardias.
