Profile
Dr Carmella Gunasingam is a Rheumatologist dedicated to providing thorough, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Dr Gunasingam completed her Bachelor of Medicine at the University of Newcastle and also obtained a Master in Public Health from the University of Sydney. She completed her internship, residency and physician training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She continued to complete her specialty training in Rheumatology at The Royal Newcastle Centre, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Westmead Hospital and successfully gained fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Dr Gunasingam has been actively involved in medical education and mentorship throughout her career. She also has interests in clinical research and has presented at national and international Rheumatology meetings. She is committed to professional development and is a member of the Australian Rheumatology Association.
Research
Dr Gunasingam is interested in all facets of rheumatology, with particular interests in inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue disease, myositis, vasculitis and osteoporosis.
