Welcome to our first intake of 2025 New Graduate Nurses

February marked the start of an exciting journey for 32 fresh-faced graduates as they stepped into the world of nursing, ready to make a difference in patients’ lives.

Thirty of our new graduates began their journey at the start of the month, with two more joining shortly after. With their AHPRA registration in hand, they now embark on a 12-month program designed to support them as they grow into skilled and confident healthcare professionals. Over the next year, they will rotate through two different clinical areas, spending approximately six months in each. Along the way, they will have dedicated education days, ensuring they receive the guidance and training needed to navigate the challenges of nursing.

While this is just the beginning, history tells us that most of our graduates will choose to stay with us beyond their program, becoming valued members of our Sydney Adventist Hospital team. Their journey doesn't end after 12 months—it’s only the start of a fulfilling career.

In April, we look forward to welcoming 15 more graduate nurses, followed by another group of 10 in July. With each new intake, our team continues to grow, and our commitment to supporting the next generation of nurses remains stronger than ever.
