Sizzle for a cause

Did you know that prostate cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers and will affect more than 24,000 each year?

 
In early December members of our Prostate Cancer support group and San Foundation held a fundraiser at Bunnings Thornleigh. Thanks to the generosity of the community their efforts raised five thousand dollars to support programs run by the San Cancer Centre. The money will be used to support advanced treatments and provide vital care for prostate cancer patients.  

The event also sparked an important conversation – Have you had your PSA checked? Most cases of prostate cancer can be detected after this routine blood test, also known as a Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) test. Early detection and treatment are crucial in saving lives, but awareness and access to care remain significant challenges.
