San Gifts donates $29,000 to Sydney Adventist Hospital to support vital healthcare services

In a heartwarming display of generosity, San Gifts has donated a significant $29,000 donation to Sydney Adventist Hospital.  The donation, derived from the gift shops’ recent profits, will directly support the hospital’s essential services and fund much-needed equipment for the wards.  

The money was given during a special morning tea, held to express the hospital’s gratitude for the tireless work of the dedicated volunteers who run the boutique.  

Addressing the volunteers, Manager Patrina McLean acknowledged the collective efforts of the team.  

“We want to thank you so much; this is our opportunity to reflect on the year. To thank you for hanging in with us, contributing to the hospital and making it a hospital with something that is a little bit different to any other hospital. I truly believe that our hospital has that little touch of something special, that little bit of magic there because of our yellow shirts.” 

AHCL CEO Brett Goods highlighted the difference the volunteers make to the hospital’s community.  

“The volunteers are the secret sauce for the San, in terms of our purpose, our mission of what we do for this community. So I want to say thank you, for the difference you make to Sydney Adventist Hospital...it’s powerful,” said Mr Goods. 

As the year draws to a close, San Gifts has set a shining example of how small business can give back to the community, demonstrating the power of kindness and collaboration. The morning tea not only celebrated the generous donation but also underscored the importance of supporting vital healthcare services, ensuring a healthier future for all.
