Thrive Week - Celebrating Staff

From May 6-12, Sydney Adventist Hospital and San Day Surgery Hornsby celebrated its annual staff week.  

The week long event honours all the 1200+ nursing team and more than 1,200 other wonderful staff at the San. 

“This is an event I look forward to every year,” said Brett Goods, Adventist HealthCare CEO.  

“We are blessed to have so many wonderful staff members who make a healthy difference. To be able to express our appreciation and show them that we recognise the exceptional work they do every day does not go unnoticed and is very important to us.” 

Thrive Week highlights the importance of personal and professional growth, health and resilience of the staff who work at the San.  

One of the special events during Thrive Week is the staff awards. This year there were 84 recipients who received an award for Years of Service throughout the week. 38 staff received an award for 10 years of service, including Mr Goods; 32 staff for 20 years;10 staff for 30 years and 4 for 40 years.  

Staff were also treated to live music around the hospital and meal vouchers to San Cafe.
