Dr Jobe Shatrov FRACS, FAOrthoA, MBBS (Hons), BSc.(Physio), Grad Dip (Surgical Anatomy)
Dr Shatrov will provide an update on the latest research and developments in managing ACL injuries, covering both non-surgical strategies and the latest surgical techniques. This talk will equip GPs with the skills to effectively identify and manage ACL injuries within their practice.
Dr Shatrov is an orthopaedic knee surgeon at the forefront of research, innovation, and teaching. He has completed prestigious international fellowships in robotic knee surgery, ACL and sports knee injuries, and premier league athletes. He is a highly skilled and experienced surgeon who specialises in all aspects of knee surgery, including trauma, sports, and arthroplasty.
Dr Louis Shidiak FRACS (Orthopaedics), FAOA
Dr Shidiak is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in conditions of the hip and knee. Utilising his surgical experience coupled with his prior physiotherapy training, Dr Shidiak specialises in restoring function to his patients through surgical and non-surgical management techniques.
Dr Adrian Low MBBS (Syd), PhD, FRACS (Orth), FAOrthA
Dr Low will discuss current trends in managing clavicle fractures, AC joint injuries, and shoulder dislocations, highlighting when non-operative treatment is appropriate and how to identify cases requiring surgical referral.
Dr Low is an orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in the treatment of sports injuries, overuse and arthritic conditions of the shoulder and knee. He is well-versed in non-operative treatment options and experienced in arthroscopy, arthroscopic reconstructions and joint replacement surgery. He utilises minimally invasive techniques whenever possible and modern, up-to-date technology and implants for the benefit of his patients.
Dr Edmund O’Leary BSc (Hons), MBBCh, MRCS (Eng), FRACS (Orth), FAOrthoA
Dr O’Leary will discuss the assessment and management of soft tissue injuries of the foot and ankle, providing GPs with strategies to diagnose, treat, and refer these common injuries effectively.
Dr O’Leary is a fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon with a sub-specialty interest in foot and ankle surgery, as well as orthopaedic trauma. He performs arthroscopic, reconstructive, and replacement surgery of the foot and ankle with a particular interest in minimally invasive techniques for foot and ankle surgery.
