Dr Jason Sharp - Interventional Cardiologist
Dr Sharp is a consultant cardiologist with expertise in interventional cardiology and structural heart disease. He is director of the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories at Sydney Adventist Hospital and co-principal of Specialist Cardiology.

Dr Sharp has particular interests in structural heart procedures including atrial septal defect closure, patent foramen ovale closure, left atrial appendage occlusion with the Watchman and Amulet devices, aortic valve procedures including TAVI as well as Mitraclip and Tricuspid clip keyhole valve repairs. He performs transoesophageal echocardiography, loop recorder implants and percutaneous transluminal septal myocardial ablation. He has extensive experience in complex coronary intervention including coronary angiography, angioplasty and stenting as well as Rotablator rotational atherectomy. He has rooms at the San Clinic.

Prof Martin Misfeld - Cardiothoracic Surgeon
Professor Misfeld is a leading expert in cardiac surgery with extensive training across Germany, the UK, and Australia. He specialises in minimally invasive cardiac surgery, valve preserving techniques, Ross procedure, novel aortic valve substitutes, the complete spectrum of aortic surgery, “anaortic” surgery, complete arterial OPCAB/MIDCAB/MICS-CABG techniques, Maze procedures and complex cases. With over 300 peer-reviewed papers, he is a distinguished figure in cardiovascular research and surgery.

Dr Ajita Kanthan - Cardiologist, Electrophysiologist
Dr Kanthan’s key point of focus is rhythm disorders, treating all forms of rhythm disorders including atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia and ventricular tachycardia. Additionally, Dr Kanthan also performs all types of device implants including loop recorders, leadless and traditional pacemaker, subcutaneous and traditional defibrillators and bi-ventricular resynchronisation devices. Dr Kanthan is best known for his pioneering work in the use of radiation-free procedural techniques, having performed the first radiation-free transvenous pacemaker implant in Australia.
