Profile
Dr Sam Daniels is an experienced Gynaecologist who specialises in advanced laparoscopy and has a particular interest in endometriosis, fibroids and prolapse.
Sam is a gynaecologist who has devoted his training to excellence in women’s health. He has spent the last ten years training in and pursuing the specialty of gynaecology and has gained further experience in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
Sam completed a two-year Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy & Surgical Society (AGES) fellowship at the Sydney Women’s Endosurgery Centre (SWEC). He is accredited to perform laparoscopic gynaecological surgery at the highest skill level (AGES Level 6) and has also completed a Masters of Minimally Invasive Surgery.
He has a special interest in endometriosis and pelvic pain, prolapse, urinary incontinence, fibroids and abnormal uterine bleeding. He can provide non-mesh alternatives to urinary incontinence.
Research
Dr Daniels has completed a Masters in Minimally Invasive Surgery through the University of Adelaide, whilst conducting research on laparoscopic sacrohysteropexy which was later published by ANZJOG and presented internationally in 2020 at the American Association of Gynaecologic Laparoscopists 49th Global Congress.
In 2018, he was awarded a fully-funded bursary to attend the Fifth Asia Pacific Gynaecological Endoscopy Training Workshop in Bangkok.
He is heavily involved in the teaching and mentoring of medical students and as such is the Clinical Lead (Senior Lecturer) for O&G at the Northern Beaches Hospital for the Macquarie Medical program and also holds consultant Obstetric & Gynaecology positions at both Royal North Shore and Northern Beaches Hospital.
