Radiation Oncologists

Our radiation therapy services are delivered by an experienced, multidisciplinary team who are dedicated to providing the best care possible for our patients. Our Radiation Oncologists are:

Dr Amy Yuen Meei Teh, BSc(Med) MBBS(Hons) FRANZCR

Dr Amy Yuen Meei Teh graduated with honours from the University of New South Wales in 2001. She completed radiation oncology training at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Australia, followed by a clinical research fellowship at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Canada, where she was the recipient of the Phyllis Hantho Breast Cancer Research Fund and was awarded the Weekend to End Breast Cancer Research Fellowship for her research. Dr Teh returned to Australia in 2009 as a consultant radiation oncologist at the Radiation Oncology Institute and Sydney Adventist Hospital.

Dr Teh has special interests in breast cancer and prostate cancer, with certification from the Seattle Prostate Institute, USA for both low dose rate and high dose rate brachytherapy. Dr Teh has an active interest in prostate specific membrane antigen (PSMA) positron emission tomography (PET) imaging and stereotactic adaptive body radiotherapy in prostate cancer, using Tomotherapy, volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) and intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and has completed the ESTRO course in image-guided stereotactic radiotherapy from Lille, France.

Dr Teh accepts referrals for all cancer types, with a special clinical interest in breast cancer, prostate brachytherapy and prostate cancer.

Dr Andrew Fong, BSc (Med) MBBS FRANZCR

Dr Andrew Fong brings an individual, personal focus to his practice. He tailors each consultation to each patient he sees, with a gentle, empathetic approach, and concise, plain language communication. His patients benefit from his understanding of cutting edge cancer treatment modalities and the circumstances in which they can be utilised.

Dr Fong graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2000, and has undertaken specialty training at Prince of Wales Hospital and the Royal North Shore Hospital. He was awarded fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2009. Dr Fong also completed a Masters of Electronic Healthcare (MeH) at the University of Queensland, and was awarded the Dean’s Commendation for High Achievement in both 2008 and 2010.

Dr Fong accepts referrals for all cancer types, with a special clinical interest in breast cancer, head and neck cancer, intensity modulated radiation therapy, lung cancer and stereotactic ablative body radiation.

Dr Lee Na Chong, BHB MBChB FRANZCR

Dr Chong graduated from the University of Auckland School of Medicine New Zealand. Working across many hospitals in Sydney, Dr Chong underwent physician training at Concord Repatriation and General Hospital and completed specialty training at Westmead and Nepean Cancer Care Centres. She gained fellowship to the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiology (FRANZCR) in October 2008.

She has presented at the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Royal Australasian College of Radiologists and published in the area of treatment of non-melanoma skin cancer in the Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology. She has an ongoing special interest in the best practice management of melanoma and non-melanomatous skin cancers. Prior to her current position, Dr Chong worked as a staff specialist at the Breast Cancer Institute, Westmead Hospital.

Dr Chong accepts referrals for all cancer types, with a special clinical interest in breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, prostate cancer, sarcoma and skin cancer.

Dr Rebecca Chin, MBBS(Hons) FRANZCR

Dr Chin graduated with honours from the University of NSW and then trained at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney. She is a highly experienced radiation oncologist and has extensive experience in brachytherapy to treat gynaecological cancers.

Dr Chin holds clinics at Strathfield Breast Centre, Revesby as well as the Sydney Adventist Hospital. Dr Chin also attends regular multidisciplinary team meetings and international meetings. In addition she visits major cancer institutions nationally and internationally. She has also been involved in committees with the Cancer Institute of NSW developing guidelines for breast and gynaecological cancers.

She is an honorary clinical lecturer with the Sydney University Medical School.
