Donate for a good cause

In recognition of its commitment to International Women’s Day the San will be hosting a Regifting Fair in order to raise funds for Hornsby Women’s Shelter.

Departments from across the hospital are getting involved with staff donating any Christmas gifts which are in excess to what they need, not to their taste or may be suited to a better home so that funds can be raised and the spirit of goodwill with which they were given can carry on from Christmas.

The collected items will be sold at the Regifting Fair on Thursday February 14th with all proceeds going to Hornsby Women’s Shelter which provides accommodation and refuge for women facing challenges caused by a range of circumstances from ill health, unemployment, homelessness and domestic violence issues.

This is not just an initiative for San staff as donations from the public are welcome.

Gifts to be sold at the Regifting Fair must be new and saleable, complete and presentable.

They can include perfumes, books, toys, ornaments, homewares, cosmetics, beauty and skin care products, electrical items, camping or sporting gear, clothing and accessories… whatever other items you may like to find a new home for. Prices will be modest in the interests of selling all stock but raising sufficient funds.

If you would like to donate, Regifting boxes can be found in the Hospital foyer and reception areas.

Some of the items received to date and available for sale on the 14th February are pictured here.
