San Associate Professor Ross Grant discusses the science of alcohol on 2GB

There seems to have been a recent spate of media articles with individuals recounting how they’ve chosen sobriety, often reporting they have reached a tipping point because they take longer to recover from alcohol the older they get, feel lousy, or just aren’t having fun anymore.

Added to this the statistics that indicate alcohol is responsible for the deaths of 5000 Australians a year, only provides further reason.

Associate Professor Ross Grant from the Sydney Adventist Hospital’s Australasian Research Institute shares a scientific perspective on what alcohol does to the body and what the risks are.
