CCU reunion after life saved on Manly Beach

A lovely reunion occurred when Peita Workman, a Registered Nurse in the San’s Coronary Care Unit, discovered her patient was a man she had helped resuscitate during a weekend emergency incident at Manly Beach.

Peita happened to be nearby when Mr Parsons, a surfer and former Life Guard, was pulled unconscious from the surf.

Involved in the resuscitation with Manly life guards, Peita assisted ambulance paramedics until Mr Parsons was transported to Manly Hospital.

When he was transferred to the San for ongoing cardiac care and cardiac investigation the pair were reunited when Mr Parsons was among the patients Peita cared for.
