New Car Park Opens at Sydney Adventist Hospital

Patient care and the ability to continue to provide high quality services to our community in the future is our overarching aim.

As a result the Sydney Adventist Hospital's $181 million Redevelopment has been underway since 2011 and is expected to be totally finished by mid - 2014.

We are pleased that the first milestone of the Redevelopment has been completed with the opening of the new Multi-deck car park which provides 896 car spots for patients and their visitors, doctors and other health professionals and other staff members. We are thankful our new car park offers staff and the community additional parking.

Ground breaking for the new car parking was the first initiative of the Redevelopment and occurred in June 2011.
Car parking rates for members of the community remain unchanged.
Paid parking for all cars on site when the new car park completed has been foreshadowed and raised publicly since late 2011.
We are pleased that the car parking pass scheme enables hospital employees to pay no more than $2.50 a day which appears significantly less than other hospital and community parking facilities.
Bus fares from Sydney Adventist Hospital to Hornsby station are approximately $3.60 each way.
Discussions with NSW Nurses Association.
We are very proud of the reputation for excellence of care of our many long serving Adventist HealthCare Nurses and other health professionals. We appreciate their commitment and many years of dedication to our patients and the local community.
Some SAH nurses are represented by the NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Association.  Terms and conditions are regularly reviewed as part of the normal Enterprise Bargaining process. As a result, discussions are currently underway with the Association and other members of our staff .
We look forward to these discussions continuing.
