The San-supported Novus Foundation raises $110,000 for youth

The San-supported Novus Foundation held its annual gala dinner on July 28 and raised more than $110,000.

Beneficiaries of the 2012 fundraising include the San’s HealthCare Outreach program and North Shore youth services including KYDS, Studio ARTES, The Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Police and Community Youth Club, StreetWork and Rotary Youth Programs.

Novus Patron, Premier Barry O’Farrell, Member for Bradfield, Paul Fletcher, Member for Davidson Jonathon O’Dea, Hornsby Mayor Nick Berman and various Ku-ring-gai Councillors were among the 600 guests that attended the dinner at Miramare Gardens, Terry Hills.

The annual dinner has now raised over $730,000 since it was first held 6 years ago.

Novus is a collaboration of members of Rotary Club of Wahroonga and order of Australia recipient and North Shore Resident and SAH Foundation member Phil McCarroll.

“Youth are NSW’s greatest asset and its foundation for the future. In offering quality support to help meet young people’s educational, social and developmental needs, the Novus Foundation is helping grow strong communities and a strong NSW. I support their work and commend them on their initiatives” said Premier O’Farrell.

The Novus 2012 Appeal was supported by various local organisations including Guardian Funerals, Buildcorp, McCarrolls Automotives, and the San Hospital.
