Profile
Dr Niles completed BSc (Med) MBBS through the University of New South Wales in 2001, and obtained FRACS through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2009. He completed internship and residency at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and was a Registrar at Liverpool Hospital. He has obtained Fellowship - Breast & Endocrine Surgery, St George Hospital, and Fellowship - Head & Neck and Endocrine Surgery, Liverpool Hospital. He is a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at both the University of New South Wales and the University of Western Sydney. Dr Niles has hospital accreditations at Sydney Adventist, Macquarie University, Norwest Private and Liverpool hospitals.
Research
Dr Niles is head of translational research, Head & Neck / Endocrine Department, Liverpool Hospital and Head & Neck Ingham Institute of Applied Medical Research. He has special interest into autophagic markers and apoptotic pathways in oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma and papillary thyroid carcinoma.
