Milestone Redevelopment Official Opening - 17 October 2014
Prime Minister Tony Abbott, Federal Health Minister Peter Dutton and NSW Health Minister Jillian Skinner officially opened the San Redevelopment on Friday October 17th.
Clinical Education Centre Opening - 1 November 2013
The Clinical Education Centre, designed to address national health workforce shortages, opened in early November at SAH. The new education centre will provide opportunities for unique side by side training of doctors, nurses and other health professionals.
Multi-Deck Car Park Opening - 28 May 2013
The first milestone of the Stage 1 Redevelopment, the new 896 space car Multi-deck Car Park, opened in late May for patients and their visitors, doctors and other health professionals and other staff members.
Multi-Storey Car Park Blessing - 8 November 2011
BuildCorp and San staff gathered to celebrate the commencement of the multi-storey car park construction with a Blessing Ceremony on 8 November. The multi-storey car park is expected to be complete in 12 months.
Launch & Blessing of the New Car Park - November 2011
Timed to coincide with construction of the new multi-deck car park (now being built in the existing car park behind the San Clinic and Clinical Services Building), the San opened a major new car park on 3rd November in what had been a campus paddock area.
The new car park provides 450 car spaces to replace the spaces displaced while the new multi-deck car park is under construction. Regular and free transport to and from the new car park is being provided by the new San Shuttle Bus Service to the main hospital entrance and the San Clinic. It will run every 5-10 minutes from 6am -10pm and then regularly overnight.
Opening of the new cark and commencement of the new San Shuttle Bus Service was celebrated with a small launch and Blessing on 3 November 2011.
SAH Stage 1 Redevelopment Groundbreaking - 23 June 2011
The start of Sydney Adventist Hospital’s $181 million Stage 1 Redevelopment was celebrated with an official groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday 23rd June 2011. Click to see image gallery from ceremony.
Local Mayors, hospital supporters and other well wishers joined current and former medical, nursing and administrative staff and project team members at the Blessing of the works and official groundbreaking conducted by administrative, medical, staff and patient representatives.
