Clinical Placements & Work Experience
Sydney Adventist Hospital provides a variety of clinical placements for university students studying in the Nursing and Allied Health professions. We may also be able to provide work experience for Year 10 High School / TVET students.
All students entering the hospital must comply with hospital policy in line with the Sydney Adventist Hospital student information brochure. Any additional requirements for individual disciplines will be provided prior to student entry.
University Nursing Placements
At SAH we welcome nursing students from many different universities and offer a wide variety of medical, surgical, maternity, emergency care and critical care experiences. International nursing students are also welcome to apply. Clinical placements are subject to availability and will incur a fee.
University Allied Health Student Placements
Allied Health and Medical placements are coordinated by the appropriate department and the university involved. All enquiries should be directed through the SAH Clinical School Placement Coordinator (see below).
University Medical Student Placement
The Sydney Adventist Hospital Clinical School (SAHCS) is the first Clinical School of The University of Sydney to be based in the private sector. The Sydney Adventist Hospital in Wahroonga has been an associate teaching hospital of the University since 1994 and now, as a full teaching hospital of the University, provides outstanding training across all stages of the Sydney Medical School program.
